Universal operator on the Gurarii space

It will be shown how to construct a universal linear
operator $F_infty :Grightarrow G$ on the Gurarii space $G$, using basic category-theoretic methods. The main result is that $F_infty$ ''contains" all linear operators between separable Banach spaces.
This is a recent joint work with W. Kubis (unpublished)

Quantification of the reciprocal Dunford-Pettis property

It will be shown that spaces $C_0(Omega)$ for any locally
compact space $Omega$ enjoy a quantitative version of the reciprocal
Dunford-Pettis property. A combination with previous results shows that
for operators with domain $C_0(Omega)$ weak compactness and complete
continuity is quantitatively equivalent. It is a recent joint work
with J.Spurny (unpublished).
